Unost' - 70PhotoDescriptionJUNOST-70 is a polyphonic electronic instrument with large artistic and technical capabilities. Its circuit is based on transistors without the use of tubes, due to which the device is portable (its weight is 25 kg), and power consumption does not exceed 60 W. The keyboard of the device has 5 octaves; a special register switch makes it possible to widen the pitch range to 6 octaves (by means of the 1 octave-shift function). Junost-70 is a multi-voice instrument. The voices can be changed, depending on the genre of a performed work and the will of a performer, with the help of knobs of the octave sound synthesis. In such a case, sounds from one or several octaves are added in different proportion to a basic sound, which makes it possible to smoothly vary a timbre colour over a wide range, providing sounds that are characteristic for various genres, from pop and folk music to organ works. It may be used as an accompanying or solo instrument, depending on the will of a performer. The device is equipped with a "glissando" unit, which is switched on by the button situated in the lower part of the case. The volume control is carried out with the help of a foot pedal. The device has a "vibrato", which makes it possible to get an specific sound; it also has the unit of a sound frequency correction, providing the possibility of deafening the sound or making it sharper, depending on the performer's will. The depth and the frequency of sound vibration are adjustable. The "vibrato" function may be switched off. Junost-70 is designed in a portable metal case made of light alloys. Its exterior surface is covered with polished plastic of different colours. The case of the device is composite. The upper part is attached to the lower one by four screws. On the rear panel, there is a separable plank providing the access to controls used for tuning of 12 generators. In the lower part of the case on the left, there are the mains switch, the AC mains power input (with a cable; 50 Hz, 127/220 V), the voltage switch with a safety device, the receptacle for connecting a volume pedal and the socket for connecting ext. speakers.
